SEASON OVERVIEW:
Sunny, playful and smart, Franklin & Bash rather bears a likeness to a comedy than a legal procedural. Despite their mischievous antics, bold appearance and happy-go-lucky approach, Elmo “Jared” Franklin (Breckin Meyer, House, Heroes) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Rizzoli & Isles, Weeds) are two fearless and quick-witted attorneys who are always ready to pull anything they can from their briefcases of legal tricks to secure a victory for a client, no matter who the client might be. The son of a well-known lawyer, Jared is a snarky and self-confident player who loves to defy the authority every chance he gets. Unlike his best friend and legal partner, Peter has a knack for charming the jury and the judge.
Franklin and Bash’s unconventional techniques in court and their flair for the dramatic and the shocking catch the attention of Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell, Psych, Community), the eccentric patriarch of Infeld Daniels. He decides to recruit the pair to bring a fresh energy to the firm, much to the dismay of his nephew, Damien Karp (Reed Diamond, Dollhouse, The Mentalist), a lawyer who has his own plans for Infeld Daniels. As a matter of course, Jared and Peter are joined by their two quirky assistants, the brilliant Carmen Phillips (Dana Davis, Body of Proof, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and the multiphobic Pindar “Pindy” Singh (Kumail Nanjiani, Adventure Time, Veep). Jared’s loose cannon draws the attention of Hanna Linden (Garcelle Beauvais, NYPD Blue, Arrested Development), one of the firm’ senior partners and Damien Karp’s romantic interest. In the meantime, Peter fights to regain the heart of his ex-girlfriend, Janie Ross (Claire Coffee, NCIS, Grimm), a straight-arrow prosecutor. Can the two devoted buddies survive in this new environment? Only time will tell…
