SEASON OVERVIEW:
A sophisticated, smart and contemporary spy series, Hunted is the fruit of Frank Spotnitz‘s imagination. At the heart of the show is Samantha “Sam” Hunter (Melissa George, Friends, Grey’s Anatomy), a highly skilled operative for Byzantium, an elite private intelligence agency. After surviving an attempt on her life, she goes back to work determined to find out who tried to kill her. Since she suspects members of the company she works for want to send her to glory, Sam is unable to trust anyone, even the man she loves. Apparently, the attempt on her life is tied to a horrific event from her childhood. The only way to escape that past is to confront it.
The Byzantium team includes Aidan Marsh (Adam Rayner, Doctor Who, Hawthorne), the most popular member of the squad, who operated in the misty world of private security, Rupert Keel (Stephen Dillane, Game of Thrones, Secret State), a founding partner of Byzantium, who understands how people think and knows how to make them do what he wants, Deacon Crane (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Lost, Monk), a devoted and loyal ex-Navy SEAL, who always tries to run his team efficiently and wisely so that every mission come to a successful conclusion, Zoe Morgan (Morven Christie, Teachers, Lost in Austen), a computer engineer for MI6, who now handles logistics and planning within the Byzantium team, and Ian Fowkes (Lex Shrapnel, The Last Detective, Minder), a brave and fearless ex-Royal Marine, who struggles to comprehend the rules and morals of the private security industry.
