SEASON OVERVIEW:


Beyond the Army’s gates and military operations, the personal life of those who serve their country is sometimes as intense as the moments spent on the battlefield… Underling the thrilling drama that won everyone’s heart is Tanya Biank‘s book suggestively titled Army Wives: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage. The series revolves around a group of women, all married to career military men, who become close friends despite their extremely different backgrounds.

 Leading the squad is Claudia Joy Holden (Kim Delaney, NYPD Blue, The O.C.), the wife of Colonel Michael Holden (Brian McNamara, Ghost Whisperer, The Mentalist), one of Fort Marshall’s most respected officers. Sophisticated, bold and savvy, she makes shift with anything. The couple has two daughters, Amanda Joy (Kim Allen, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Guiding Light) and Emmalin Jane Holden (Katelyn Pippy, Monk, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody).

 The Army left its mark on Denise Sherwood’s entire life. Since her father comes from a long line of military men, her family moved from post to post making it difficult for her to form friendships. Denise (Catherine Bell, Friends, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) settled down for life with Major Frank Sherwood (Terry Serpico, Rescue Me, Person of Interest). The fruit of their love is Jeremy (Richard Bryant, One Tree Hill, All for Liberty), a troubled youngster who is physically abusing his own mother.

 A sassy young mother of two boys, Roxy (Sally Pressman, Criminal Minds, The New Adventures of Old Christine) loses her heart to Private Trevor LeBlanc (Drew Fuller, Charmed, NCIS: Los Angeles). After only a few days of courtship, the two decide to tie the knot and move to Fort Marshall. Calm and delicate on the surface, but rebellious and tough underneath, Pamela (Brigid Brannagh, 24, NCIS) is a former Boston Officer who quit her job to follow her husband Chase Moran (Jeremy Davidson, Brothers & Sisters, Pan Am), a paratrooper, from base to base. She is secretly acting as a surrogate mother to get her family out of debt.

 Last but not least, there’s Dr. Roland Burton (Sterling K. Brown, Supernatural, The Good Wife), the squad’s male “army wife”. A brilliant psychiatrist, he gave up a lucrative private practice to spend his life with Lieutenant Joan Burton (Wendy Davis, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal), a dedicated military woman. As the series progresses, Claudia Joy, Denise, Roxy, Pamela and Roland become very close friends.

 Follow these gritty army wives as they deal with deployments, abuse, hostage situations, adultery, post-traumatic stress disorder and the death of their loved ones!
